Maximum notary fees set by California law
The following are the maximum fees a notary public may charge under California Government Code §8211. I may charge less than these amounts.
- Acknowledgments or proofs$15 per signature
- Jurat (oath or affirmation)$15 per signature
- Depositions$30, plus $7 for the oath and $7 for the certificate
- Certified copy of a power of attorney$15
- Vote-by-mail / voting materialsNo charge
- Veterans' benefit applications or claimsNo charge
A travel fee, agreed upon in advance, may apply for my mobile service and is separate from the notary fees above.
